Our mission is to empower, enrich and build strong communities. We pride ourselves on helping our residents become the best that they can be by not only offering clean, decent and affordable housing but by also providing various educational programming opportunities.
We have skilled employees who care about our mission and residents. Our employees do their best to keep our properties well- maintained and our business in order.
We partner with several community agencies so that we can contribute to our community’s needs and our partnership relationships also allow other agencies to provide and assist our residents.
This year has been a successful year for the Niagara Falls Housing Authority. We negotiated two (5 year) collective bargaining agreements (AFSCME and CSEA), updated our policies and procedures and successfully implemented Hud’s smoke free initiative. We have met with staff to strategically plan for our future and our staff and board of commissioners have established board sub-committees. These sub-committees include a governance, planning, facilities, finance and human resource committees. We have hired more maintenance staff so that we could have the appropriate number of maintenance employees to serve our residents’ needs appropriately.
