To properly address the needs of larger families, the Niagara Falls Housing Authority embarked upon the construction of 100 units in the Highland Avenue area in 1961. Harry S. Jordan Gardens first became occupied in February 1962.
The 100 units in this community, consist of 8-one bedroom units, 52-three bedroom units, 34-four bedroom units and 6-five bedroom units. The community is named after Harry S. Jordan, one of the first individuals to serve on the Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners.
